What can we make of the seeming chaos created by natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides, floods, droughts, etc? Are these situations confrontations or invitations to a deeper awareness and understanding of who we are? When we expect to find answers to our seeming crises of the day in the local or national newspapers we will be sorely disappointed. Depth is not a characteristic of reportorial news and rarely is reflected in newspaper headlines. Better to fold the paper or take it to the recycling bin, make a cup of tea and quietly silence the external noises and news. Within your own small but sacred space of silence and humility you may find a way to peace beyond the crises. If you are directly impacted be comforted by the knowledge that spiritual beings have (more than we know) been empowered to survive for more than days, even weeks, in the state of grace called meditation. Often going without food or water and slowing down their metabolism to barest subsistence these holy beings understand that the body is supported by the spirit, rather than the reverse. Take comfort that you have abilities and capabilities you have perhaps never exercised but which lie dormant within you. Awaken to these possibilities. Breath alone can sustain you, for breath brought you into being.

Insight and imagination are within you. 

There is a sense in which we do not manage our lives, but that we allow the circumstances and events of our lives to open us to an acceptance of  paths and doors we  perhaps had not known of previously. In truth, the universe presents these developments to us when the time is ripe and "right." It is our openness to that possibility and to our decision and willingness to follow its invitation that moves us toward a new level of awareness. When circumstances just seem to "fall together" you may become aware that your acceptance of the timing of the universe is the life invitation calling you forward to your next sense of /knowledge who you are and who you will become. Timing is everything. Awareness of and openness to these opportunities is spirit energy awakening and urging you on.
